What’s the best thing about working at Bekaert?
There are two main things that, in my opinion, make Bekaert a great place to work. First, there are the high-quality relationships you can build and the better together team spirit. Secondly, you have countless development opportunities.
Being part of an operational HR department allows me to be involved in many different activities and is something I really enjoy. One moment I’m dealing with a recruitment process, the next, I am participating in operational activities or supporting leaders with team management. The variety allows me to have fun at work, which is essential considering it’s such a big part of our lives.

How did you find your way to your current role at Bekaert?
When I joined Bekaert 12 years ago, I had just graduated. I started with leading operational projects in the plant. After several years of working on different projects in manufacturing, I was promoted to a HR position, which was more in line with my background and my true passion: people development.
What drives you to be a better employee?
Starting each day with a new challenge makes me feel passionate. At the same time, it opens new opportunities all the time. This motivates me to be success-oriented and deliver results. I know that this will allow me to grow further.
How has your role evolved since you started working here?
Since I joined the HR department, I have been able to expand my areas of responsibility and combine different roles. I am a BeCare (our global safety excellence program) Regional Change Agent for Europe and, at the same time, I am also a BMS (Bekaert Manufacturing System) Way of Working Change Agent. The objective of BMS is to have a single, standardized system and way of working in each of our plants. These experiences have helped me to grow and enhance my global perspectives. This is something I really like about Bekaert: people, positions, and projects evolve and grow. You never stand still.
What makes Bekaert special?
With Bekaert being a global company with more than 27000 employees, you feel you are part of something important. You can contribute to a greater purpose and experience your work being recognized by your peers and bringing value to the business.
