High porosity of our metal fiber media maintains a high flow rate and a good flow distribution.
Very fine metal fiber filtration media are encapsulated either in the ink cartridges or in the printhead. The size of the filter disk can be as small as 12 mm². A key characteristic of any inkjet filtration media is high porosity, to ensure a good flow distribution and a high flow rate. Bekaert provides custom filtration solutions for the inkjet industry.
The size of the filter square or disk can be as small as 12 mm². Selecting this cleanroom grade material that offers fine filtration at high porosity, and high strength for a long lifetime, ensures that the media availability is on reel or cut to tailor-made dimensions.
Compared to fine mesh, our material is more economical.
Compared to synthetic filtration alternatives, metal fiber media are more durable and more cost-effective for printheads as the filter doesn’t have to be replaced.
