Beki-Shield® GR

Beki-Shield® GR is a stainless steel filler material used in plastic compounds to provide electrical conductive properties. They can be used as a master-batch and have been designed for easy dispersion into the polymer matrix for both injection molding (dry blend) and for compounding. The Beki-Shield® metal fibers are also available in continuous bundles.

Technical specifications

The following specifications represent the standard Beki-Shield® GR75 and Beki-Shield® GR90 range.
Contact Bekaert to discuss application specific requirements like coatings and compatibility. The Beki-shield® GR90 product has only 10% sizing in comparison with the Beki-Shield® GR75 which has also an additional coating. The removing of the additional coating layer with the Beki-Shield® will make the product more compatible with a larger variety of base polymer and will give you more control over the final technical properties of the end component.

Composition of grain 75% SUS302 (EN 10088-1 : 1.4310)  
  10% sizing  
  15% coating  
Diameter of fibers 8 µm or 11 µm ±10%
Length of fibers 4 or 5 mm ±10%
Processing temperature (*) 120 - 350 °C  
Compatible with (*) Polyolefins, Styrenics, PVC, TPU, PA6, PA6.6, PA, PPS, PBT, PET, POM...
