Bekaert is a pioneer of metal fiber products. Our teams design, develop, and produce for a wide range of applications. Back in 1997, we delved into green hydrogen production. This is when we began developing metal fiber felt for Porous Transport Layers (PTLs). Since then, we have built several proof points in different regions around the world. By expanding our reach, we integrated emerging technologies into the next gen product offering.

Today

As a leader in the market, we provide metal fiber PTLs for electrolyzer cells in both PEM and AEM. High quality PTLs that generate more value, lower TCO, and build trust. Fine-tuned solutions developed through close, collaborative efforts with our customers. We even began building our own gigafactory, with plans to expand to 10GW and beyond. But our entrepreneurial spirit drives us to do more. And we plan to develop the next generation of hydrogen production technology, together.
